DAY 01
Izmir
Arrive in
Istanbul Ataturk International airport.
Connect a domestic flight to fly Izmir.
Arrive in Izmir
Adnan Menderes airport. Meet and transfer to your hotel. Visit the
Church of St. Polycarp which is the oldest church in ancient Smyrna, it
symbolized the community of the Seven Churches of the Apocalypse. Then visit
Alexander the Great’s “Velvet Castle”
overlooking the bay of Izmir. Overnight is
in Izmir.
DAY 02
Izmir - Pergamon - Izmir
After
breakfast drive to Pergamon, visit the Red Basilica, the
Acropolis, where the steepest theater of the
ancient world, the Asclepion, the world’s first medical center. Return to
Izmir . Overnight is in

Day 03
Ephesus - Izmir
Full day
visit to the unforgettable remains of Ephesus,
the House of Virgin Mary, the Archaeological Museum and the Basilica of
Saint John. Overnight is in Izmir. (B)
Day 04
Izmir - Sardis - Philadelphia - Pamukkale
After
breakfast drive to Sardis, ancient capital
of the Lydia and visit the Church of Sardis. Continue to Alasehir where the
ancient Philadelphia Church is located. Walk the streets of
Philadelphia, and then proceed to
Pamukkale, the white “Cotton Castle” with
its lime cascades of the Roman spa. See the ancient city of Hierapolis. The
Martyrium of St. Philip the Apostole is here. Enjoy a leisurely bath in the
hot spring pool of your hotel. Overnight is in
Pamukkale. (B, D)
Day 05
Pamukkale - Laodicea - Aphrodisias - Kusadasi
After
breakfast morning visit to Eskihisar, the ancient Laodicea, then drive to
Aphrodisias, the city of the Goddess of Love, see the well preserved
Stadium, The Temple of Aphrodite, the Odeon, the theater, Agora and Hadrian
Bath. Overnight is in Kusadasi. (B, D)
Day 06
Izmir - END
After breakfast transfer to Izmir airport to fly
Istanbul
to connect your flight home. (B)
